Des Moines, IA – March 6, 2026 – Nothing beats Thursday nights at Wolfram RC Raceway when the whole Mini-Z crew rolls in ready for fun! Last night’s Thursday Clubbing on the  RCP track of the legendary “Tight Squeeze” layout was an absolute BLAST — full of laughter, high-fives, nail-biting battles, and that special magic that turns strangers into lifelong racing buddies. Ten awesome drivers and 15 entries lit up the carpet with five fantastic classes of 1/28-scale action!

The night kicked off with pure fireworks in Box Stock. Aaron Coe (37 laps, best 7.611s) and Chris S (37 laps, best 7.237s) went wheel-to-wheel for five straight minutes, the whole shop erupting in cheers when Coe snagged the win by a jaw-dropping 0.279 seconds! Jason Euchner (36 laps, best 7.454s) rounded out the podium with the biggest grin — talk about the perfect way to kick off an epic evening!

The Mini Z Novice class was pure feel-good vibes. Joe Johnson (23 laps, best 10.749s) took the top spot with a smile that lit up the room, while Gage Euchner (22 laps, best 11.894s) charged hard right behind him. Every lap from these rising stars got louder cheers than the last — because at Wolfram, new faces turn into family faster than you can say “checkered flag”!

Things got seriously exciting (and seriously fast) in Lipo Stock (2500). Brian Godwin (44 laps, best 6.846s) powered to a well-deserved victory with a commanding drive, while Kurt Benson (43 laps, best 6.224s) and Aaron Coe (42 laps, best 6.271s) battled it out for the remaining podium spots in true club-racing spirit. Jake Tuel added to the excitement by dropping a scorching 6.042-second lap — the fastest in the class!

AAA Sportsman brought that classic, feel-good nostalgia everyone loves. Jake Tuel (43 laps, best 6.700s) piloted his way to a joyful win, holding off Brian Godwin (43 laps, best 6.700s) by just over two seconds in a race packed with sideline encouragement and fist-pumps. Chris S (42 laps, best 6.502s — fastest in class) took third,l.

Then came the headline class that had everyone jumping out of their seats: 3500 GT (LiPo). Kurt Benson was an absolute rockstar, stacking up 48 laps (best 5.899s) for a dominant and well-earned victory that had the whole shop chanting his name. Jim Hiatt dropped the single fastest lap of the entire night — a breathtaking 5.718 seconds on the RCP surface — earning silver with 46 laps, Justin James (24 laps) fought bravely until a late mechanical hiccup.

Multi-Class Warriors truly stole the show with their big hearts and nonstop hustle:
